Baby Guru-Yogi Sister EP (vol.3) (2012)

Guess what.Another EP by Baby Guru.More info and debut album here, the previous EPs here, and their latest -2nd- album here.I'm not going to say anything about this new EP, I'll leave it up to them. Here's the exact text that the band has written, which informs us about the release. The text as well a -different- link to download the EP, can be found at the band's blog.
"Yogi Sister EP (vol.3) is the third installment in a series of experimental recordings featuring outtakes from Baby Guru’s debut album and their sophomore LP “Pieces”.
1. Human Race: Sir Kosmiche came up with this fluid bass riff (which is actually the key element to this song) during a long jam with Larry Gus and while this project was shelved, the idea was echoing in our minds every now and then. We reworked the song, adding organ, rhodes, harpsichord, soundscapes and vocals... It could have made it to "Pieces" but it was completed after the deadline.

2. Hindu for Scouts: Its working title during the "Pieces" sessions was Serious Monkey, but this first version bored us to death (fortunately it was removed from Pieces' final tracklist, but you know that, don't you?). Nevertheless, we din't give up on this track and one day we tried a live reinterpretation, aiming at increasing the energy levels... I think it worked and King Elephant's saxophones (the only overdub on this track) blew our minds and sent us to MC5 utopia :)

3. Bubble Time: An Outtake from "Baby Guru", it was isolated and edited from a long improvisational jam, featuring Gios Ths Afhs on acoustic guitar... We added electronic percussion and Fesma organ for the Yogi Sister version.

4. Dolomite Jollity (Reprise): As its title suggests, this is an alternate take to the original track, which originally appeared on "Pieces". We removed the samples and we actually did something very close to the live version.

5. Ceremonial: We accidentally stumpled upon it while we were searching old files from "Baby Guru" sessions and we were impressed by its atmosphere. King Elephant's mix took things to a different dimension and on this EP it serves as a psychedelic interlude (Marilu reappears, but i have no idea why)

6. Is Your Body Free?: The demo of this song originally appeared on the soundtrack of the theatrical play "Why I Killed My Best Friend" which we wrote last year. The final version (which you can find on this EP) was made during the "Pieces" sessions, but we felt that it was out of context (to tell you the truth, we were also sick of all these Suicide clones all over the place). The track is ok, I suppose, especially with this organ solo-saxophone freak-out coda and it found its way as the final track on Yogi Sister EP (vol.3)."
