Le Page-Teddy Girls (2008)

Le Page were formed by Tony (Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Ukulele, Harmonica, Claps) and Terpsichori (Vocals, Synthesizer, Glockenspiel, Claps),in 2007,and Teddy Girls is their debut EP.Their main influences are Moldy Peaches,Elliot Smith,'50s romantic songs and black and white films.Teddy Girls was released in 2008 by their own record label called Drunk Squirrel Records and the cover artwork was made by Terpsichori herself.
The song "The Go Go Boots" it's actually a cover of The Callas' song, and for "Talking To Plants" they collaborated with Barry Louis Polisar who contributed to the award-winning "Juno" soundtrack. This song was the reason for Le Page to cover one of Barry's songs,to be included to the "We’re Not Kidding. A Tribute To Barry Louis Polisar" compilation, which was released in the US by Snail Records.
In 2011,the band released their first full-lenght album "Yojikevin" which continued to the same path that "Teddy Girls" went, but it proved to be their last to date release.Tony, now without Terpsichori, launched a project called "Strawberry Pills" which is the exact opposite of Le Page, being more pesimistic and dark. He's about to release a concept EP consisting of 4 tracks, each track being sung by a different female singer.
"Teddy Girls" is a beautiful, happy album which will definitely put a smile on your face while listening to it.
